Christian Education
St. John’s has the mission to lead students of all ages to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ! We do this by providing opportunities from young people, all the way from 3 years old to college aged, with the opportunity to draw closer to God through fun activities. St. John’s YOUTH! is founded on the vision that leads to students down a path where they will serve God fully in their lives.

 FLAT JESUS ADVENTURES!

Hi Kids and Families!

I am super excited about a new idea I am super excited about a new idea that was presented to me called “Flat Jesus.” This is similar to the literacy program “Flat Stanley”, but with a spiritual twist. “Flat Jesus” is a simple reminder that Jesus is with us wherever we go, even in times like these when we have to be careful where we go! With what should have been Vacation Bible School from July 12th – 16th, this is a great time to remember that Jesus is still with us! Follow the instructions below and have fun with this activity as a family.

Instructions:
1. Have fun and take pictures of your kids doing different activities with their “Flat Jesus” and post those pictures to St. John’s YOUTH! Facebook page.

2. If you don’t have a Facebook page you can email them to me at youthdirector@stjohnsgenoa.org

3. When we are able to start meeting face to face in the fall, I will award 3 prizes:
a. The “Bezalel” award (Exodus 36) a man who used his creativity when building the sanctuary – The most creative and artistic photo with their “Flat Jesus”.
b. The “Daniel” award (Daniel 6:10) a man devoted to the Lord and prayed 3 times a day – The most consistent kid who posts a photo with their “Flat Jesus” every day or has the most posts with “Flat Jesus”.
c. The “Acts 1:8” award – While it is hard for us to travel right now, we can spread the word of Jesus through the mail and online. This award is for the kids who mail a “Flat Jesus” (we can get you more!) to a family member, friend, or pen pal. This award can be won by anyone who shares a photo from their friend with “Flat Jesus”. With this mailing you can share the love of Jesus and encourage them by letting them know that Jesus is with them wherever they go!

Have fun and I look forward to seeing your pictures!
