AN INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY FOR ALL WHO
BELIEVE IN THE LOVE
OF GOD
No matter where you are on life's journey:
Single, married, or divorced; rich, poor, or in between
If you can sing well or can't carry a note
If you're here browsing or if you've just woken up
If you come every week or haven't been here in years
You are welcome.
Welcome! The Bible reminds us that we are the church - the family of God with great diversity.
We don't go to church. We ARE the church.
“If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. We love because He first loved us.”
I John 4:15-16, 19 NIV

OUR CHURCH
We are a community-focused church.
We worship together in song, pray together, invite our children to the altar for a children's moment, listen to our church choir and guest musicians, plus enjoy a sermon. On the first Sunday of the month we receive communion.
OUR MINISTRIES
Our ministries focus on four core areas:
Christian Education
Youth/Teams
Nurturing Center
Elderlife
SERVICES/MEETINGS
We offer space for those who are exploring art, baton twirling and indoor sports. Our gym is perfect for bridal showers, birthday parties and wakes. For those in recovery, we welcome you to use our facilities for your meetings. Email us at: office@stjohnsgenoa.org

RECURRING MONTHLY EVENTS
Every month play host to a myriad of meetings. Take for instance the weekly GrandLove program which supports grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.
The Church is also busy with
Kindergarten Adventures - for recent grads of our Nurturing Center who are new Kindergarten students. This event happens throughout the school year
It's not unusual to find out gym filled with scout troops, dart ball matches, an occasional art class, Ladies' Craft Night plus so much more!
FELLOWSHIP
& FUN
One of the best ways to establish fellowship is through eating together. We have different groups sharing meals together like: Fun Bunch (for women 55+), the Men's Breakfast and The Incredibles (mixed group of those born before 1957). Breaking Bread is getting started in 2024. This is where people who don't know each other can foster relationships over food - either at a church member's home or at a restaurant.
In addition, our Evangelism Team caters Team Eats for Genoa Junior and Senior High Sports teams.
